Around The Caprock: Jan. 25-29
This week's editions of Around the Caprock on the Texas Farm Bureau Radio Network were highlighted by the news that Dr. Brent Auvermann has been selected to serve on the USDA Task Force for Air Quality Research. Dr. Auvermann is center director at the Texas &M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Amarillo.
During the week, we also featured reports on the recent downtrend in the numbers of cattle being placed in Texas feedyards and what factors will likely prevent a significant increase in soybean acres occurring this year despite high prices.
